The Guerilla Birdhouse Project aims to make nice homes for birds in our city’s, from the stuff we throw away.
Birds bring color and music to the streets, I’m not talking about the pigeons, but creating more diversity in the city.
We’ll make people smile.
By encouraging others to build and place these in the streets themselves, we create a positive demonstration of activism. Not pissing in corners and marking territory with tags, but creating a more hospitable environment for our animal friends.
Through the workshops we’ll give people knowledge and curiosity regarding our relationship with nature in the city.
By using recycled materials, we challenge peoples perception of waste.
When you run your own workshop you can add your own reasons in here.
Finally - Because it’s fun.
It starts with a lab - we share knowledge of Birds in the city, and how they like to live.
Then we build, create and experiment to build birdhouses from trash.
We document how to do it, and put them in the street.
Then we share how to do it - through workshops, videos, and pictures.
